Loved ones, now art.

Turned my loved ones into art.

Approaching the end of my first year of grad school, and fully being smack dab in the thick of COVID19, one of my professors asked my cohort to bring it what art means to us (how we started our grad school journey as well) and so I had to think for a second what that meant for me right now. In this daunting time, I’ve found solitude in painting my face, and watercolour. I haven’t been able to photograph anyone or anything. So I thought, I’d turn to what’s immediately around me - the people I love, the people who’ve been putting a smile on my face. So I resorted to photographing all these beautiful faces that you see right here over FaceTime. My prompt to them was “what’s keeping you happy”.
